find journals by title eg. Journal of SociologyJournal Title search
How to find the full text of a journal article
If you already have a reference to a journal article and you want to find out if the library has the full text of the article, you need to search for the journal the article is in. In other words, use the Journal title (NOT the article title or author) in your search.
- Look at your article reference and work out the title of the journal, the volume, year and pages of the
article.
Example Citation:
Jessup, R.L. (2007). Interdisciplinary versus multidisciplinary care teams: do we understand the difference? Australian Health Review, 31 (3), 330-331. - Search by the journal Title (Enter in the search box above! E.g. Australian Health Review)
- If the library has the journal in print, online or both, check that the volume and year you need matches what the library has access to.

More about Databases
Databases allow you to search for information by topic or keyword. Databases usually contain or refer to journal articles but they can also have content related to other types of information like standards, case law, legislation, annual reports, industry information, images etc.
If you want to search for relevant journal articles on a particular topic, it's best to search in one or more of the databases in your subject area. Choose which database to search by selecting a subject area from the list above.
Searching a database by keyword gives you a list of journal articles on the topic. From the list choose which articles you want to find and read. Some databases provide the full text of the article as well. If not, check if the library holds the journal. Unfortunately, not all the articles listed in a database will be held by the library.
